We agreed that we had to look for a personal injury attorney.  I didn't know where to start.  We looked online and went through the selection of attorneys.  It was difficult to tell from the web sites how they might handle our cases.  I talked with Tara about this, and she said that maybe we should ask some friends if they have any friends who are lawyers.  I asked Jim and Tom, and neither of them could name anyone.  I then checked the yellow pages to see who might be very local, and a couple of names were. Though Jim had said that we should pick the right lawyer, and it does not matter where the person is.  A good one can take care of cases anywhere.  I agreed.  Tara did too.  We checked with the local bar association, and they gave us a few names.  We know that we needed to get help, as my treatments for the injury had exhausted my insurance and was now eating into our savings.  This was getting critical.  Finally, Sue, Jim's wife, told us that her sister is a lawyer and that she could find a really good attorney for us. We didn't hear from her for several days, but then Sue is the one who actually called.
